Now you can search all the photos and videos on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch. Search by the date the photo was taken, by location or by album name. Whether you’re at work, on the train, at a restaurant or on holiday, finding a photo has never been simpler.

Just tap the search icon, and you’ll get choices based on what’s important to you. One more tap gives you immediate access to photos taken nearby, photos taken the same time last year or your all-time favorite photos

Whatever your skill level, you’ll be able to create photo masterpieces directly in the Photos app. You don’t have to wait to get back to your Mac to do it. Photos can make beautiful edits for you. Or you can take control and fine-tune every aspect of a photo yourself.

A new mode comes to Camera: Time-lapse videos.
Capture the experience of the sun setting, a city street bustling or a flower blooming with the new Time-lapse mode in Camera. iOS 8 does all the work, snapping photos at dynamically selected intervals. The result is a video showing an accelerated sequence of the photos over time. Just set up your device to shoot what you want. Swipe to select Time-lapse mode, tap the Record button, and let Camera record as long as you choose.
